 - POLICIES -

  • Payment - Payment is due at the time of services. For lengthier services, a non-refundable deposit may be requested to hold your spot. This is to protect my time. Deposits go towards the total price of the service. If an appointment is cancelled prior to 24 hours before your appointment, the deposit will go towards your next booking. If you cancel within 24 hours or no call/no show, the deposit will be kept and does not go towards any future services. â€‹

  • Cancellations - Please provide at least 24hrs notice for any cancellations. No call/no shows will be subject to a fee of 100% of the services booked. This must be paid before any future appointments can be made. Repeated late cancels/no shows may result in refusal of future services.

  • Children - Bringing young children is not recommended. The nail work space is full of chemicals and tools that can be harmful to a child if left unattended. You cannot use your hands while getting your nails done, as this affects adhesion, quality of finished product, and timeliness of service. If getting lashes, you will not be able to open your eyes for the duration of the service.

  • Food - Please refrain from eating during nail appointments involving your hands. Food or crumbs on your nails will contaminate them and cause lifting, as well as affect timeliness of service.

  • Nail Aftercare - Nail enhancements need to be filled every 2-3 weeks. After 4 weeks or if there is excessive damage done to the nails, the fill will be the price of a full set. Use cuticle oil on cuticles as well as underside of nails at least once a day to keep nails and cuticles hydrated. Dry nails will curl and peel away from nail enhancements. Do not pick or pull at your nails, or use them as tools. Damaged nails prevent proper adhesion of enhancement products.

  • Lash Aftercare

    • Keep lashes dry for 24 hours - this includes water, tears, steam, sweat, and extreme heat.

    • Wash daily - it is highly recommended to clean your lashes daily using an extension safe cleansing foam and brush (available in the shop if needed). Don't be afraid to really get in there! Failure to practice proper home care allows for makeup, oils, sweat, and mucus to build up at the base of the lash, causing bacteria to grow. This can lead to infection and mandatory removal of extensions.

    • No touching or picking - do not touch your lashes with anything other than a lash wand, lash cleansing brush or lash bath. If something with your lashes is irritating you, contact me! As the natural lash grows, the extension grows out (similar to nail extensions). This can sometimes cause lashes to twist and no longer lay properly. Twisting is typically an indication of needing to schedule fills closer together.

    • No oils - Oils are the enemy of lash extensions. They will creep between the natural lash and the extension, causing the adhesive to break down and lashes to shed prematurely. It is important to avoid oils at all costs. This includes certain face washes, makeup removers, mascaras, setting sprays, and natural oils from the skin (which is why it's so important to cleanse with cleansing foam and brush).

    • Sleeping - Sleeping on your back is recommended for optimal retention. Use of a silk pillowcase or specified lash extension sleep mask will help reduce friction and premature shedding due to incorrect sleeping habits.

    • Rinse - Make sure to thoroughly rinse lashes after a sweaty workout, a good cry, and also before and after submerging lashes in chlorine or salt water. It is typically recommended to splash your face, as opposed to putting your lashes directly under the stream of water. Also, try allowing time for lashes to air dry a little before brushing them out.

    • Fills - Lashes should be filled every 2 weeks. Fills done after this timeframe or that have less than 50% retention may be the same price as an initial lash service.

  • Wax Aftercare

    • No fake tans, massages, extreme heat treatments (e.g. very hot baths or showers, saunas, steam rooms), swimming, sunbathing (including sun beds or any other exposure to UV light) or tight clothing for 24-48 hours.

    • Try and avoid exercise for 24 hours as getting sweaty could clog the hair follicles.

    • Do not scratch or touch the area with unwashed hands.

    • Avoid applying deodorant, anything perfumed or make-up to the waxed area for 24 hours.

    • Moisturize the waxed area regularly, preferably with a cream containing antiseptic properties such as tea tree oil, aloe vera and/or witch-hazel.

    • Gently exfoliate the waxed area several times a week to get rid of dead skin cells. If it’s an intimate area, make sure you choose a suitable scrub that is not highly-perfumed.

- F.A.Q. -

  •  Press-on Nails

How do I know what size I need?

You can refer to the size guide here or take the guess work out of measuring and purchase a sizing kit here to ensure a perfect fit.

What are Soul Alchemy press-on nails made of ?

We use high quality gel nails that are carefully molded from a soft gel formula. Unlike other press-on nails, they are not made of plastic, but of pre-cured gel – this means they are stronger, longer-lasting, and as close as you can get to nail salon nails without going to the nail salon. All nails are made with vegan/cruelty free and non-toxic products:

  • Products include: Apres nail tips, Light Elegance gel polish & Maniology stamping polish.

  • Apres Tips are Big-5 Free, which means no dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin or camphor.

  • Light Elegance gel polish is 9-Free, which means no dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, xylene, triphenyl phosphate or parabens.

  • Maniology stamping polish  is Big-5 Free, which means no dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin or camphor.

How come there's no option to order squoval or almond shaped nails in the sizing kits?

The nail tips I use do not make almond or squoval nails. I create these by filing the square and stiletto nails. If you are looking to size your fingers for the squoval shape, order a square nail sizing kit, and if you’re looking to size your fingers for the almond shape, order a stiletto nail sizing kit.

What nail glue do you recommend?

I send out KDS nail adhesive in my nail prep kits, which works great. If you're looking for a professional-grade option, I use IBD 5 Second Nail Glue in service.

How long do the nails stay on?

This really depends on you - how well you prep your natural nails before application, your choice of adhesive, and how rough you are on your hands. Nail tabs will get you anywhere from 1-7 days of wear, and nail glue will get you 1-3 weeks. The better you prep your nails, the less time you spend in water and being rough on your hands, the longer your nails will stay on.

Are the nails reusable?

Yes. If using nail tabs you only have to remove the used tab and replace with a new one.

If you use nail glue, I would recommend purchasing an inexpensive electric nail drill to gently buff out any built up nail glue that's left on the press-on nail after use. This will give you many more wears. You can find the nail drill I use is here, but there are also many other good, more inexpensive options, especially just for individual use.

Do you offer custom orders?

Yes! If you have something you've seen that you like or want me to create something special for you, just send me a message and we can discuss your order. You can message me on any of my social media pages linked at the bottom of the page or through the form on my "Contact" page in the drop down menu at the top of the page, or click here.

Can I make changes to a design?

Yes! All sets are made to order and can be customized however you like. So, if you prefer a different color, a matte or glossy finish, shorter length, different shape, or any design changes, you can specify through the options when you make your order or you can message me on any of my social media pages linked at the bottom of the page or through the form on my "Contact" page in the drop down menu at the top of the page, or click here.

How many nails come in each set?

All sets come with 10 nails in the size(s) you select, unless otherwise specified. Some pre-made sets may be posted from time to time that will include 24 nails - 2 of each size with 2 extra of sizes 4 and 5. This will be made clear in the description of each product.

Do you offer wholesale?

No. I am only one person and cannot easily mass-produce sets in such volume. My prices are also set as low as I can possibly set them because I want my products to be accessible to people at all income levels while still compensating myself fairly for my product usage and time.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, however as I am a small business, shipping costs will be greatly increased and I cannot ensure safe arrival. These orders will have to be made at your own risk.

Do you offer rush shipping?

Yes, for an increased price.

Do you accept cancellations, returns or exchanges?

I will accept cancellations within 24 hours of purchase.

However, due to the nature of my product, all sales are final, except in the case of products being delivered in a defective or damaged state. If so please contact me through my contact page here and include your name, order number, and an image of the defective or damaged product.

***Please read all information listed under the item description before ordering. Be aware of turn around time frame and make sure you size your nails correctly as I will not be held responsible if the wrong size is ordered.

How long will it take to ship my order?

Almost all nail sets are made to order. I do not keep stock of nails, so turnaround time can be anywhere from 3-14 days depending on how many orders I have at the time. Each set is hand crafted and takes time to make. I try my best to be as fast as possible, but I also want you to have top quality and that can't be rushed.

YOUR PATIENCE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS PLEASE CONTACT ME HERE.
